CORDON DE MISE À LA TERRE À PINCE DE PRÉCISION À ARC IMPULSÉ POUR BIJOUX PERMANENTS

€30,00

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Orion mPulse PRO and the Orion mPulse?

If you're doing fine jewelry work, like welding jump‑rings, thin chains, delicate metals (small items, gold/silver, maybe small copper pieces), the regular Orion mPulse is often enough: precise, clean welds, good for “standard” permanent jewelry or light repair.

If you expect heavier use, or want to weld thicker/heavier metals, larger pieces, mixed metals or tougher tasks (e.g. chain repair beyond basic chains, small manufacturing, more load‑bearing welds), the PRO is more future‑proof: higher power lets you handle tougher jobs, more range gives flexibility, and you won’t quickly outgrow the machine.

For a mixed workshop where you sometimes need small delicate welds and other times stronger welds — the PRO gives you flexibility, whereas the regular weld is more limited to lighter jobs.

What metals can I weld with this machine?

The Orion mPulse is designed primarily for precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum. The PRO version can also handle slightly heavier metals, mixed alloys, and small copper/brass plates. Very thick metals (>3 mm) may require multiple pulses or another welder designed for industrial metal.

How precise are the welds? Can I control the energy?

Both models offer precise energy control: fine increments at lower energy (under ~15 J), and 1 J increments above that. This allows delicate control for small chains while enabling stronger welds on heavier pieces with the PRO version.

What safety features does it have?

  • Digital pulse control prevents overheating.
  • Grounding clip ensures electrical safety.
  • Minimal spatter reduces burn risk.
  • Short pulse duration keeps heat localized.

Always wear protective eyewear when welding.

How portable is it? Can I use it at pop-up events?

Both units are relatively compact and lightweight. The mPulse is easier to move for small setups, while the PRO is slightly larger due to additional power. Both can work on a portable table, but ensure access to a grounded outlet.

What about maintenance and consumables?

  • Electrodes: Tungsten electrodes are consumables; lifespan depends on weld volume.
  • Maintenance: Keep the stylus and grounding clip clean; check connections regularly.
  • Support: Sunstone offers replacement parts, support guides, and consumables globally.
