The Zapp Plus® Permanent Jewelry Welder™ is compatible with all optics offered by Sunstone. These lenses are crucial, because they automatically darken the area when a weld is detected, protecting your eyes from any damage. There are four different options:

5x Arm Microscope:

This microscope is the biggest, but also the most versatile. Thanks to the magnifying lens, it zooms in on your electrode to allow the most accuracy when welding permanent jewelry. Our state of the art lens is the only clear ADL on the market. This microscope also has the largest working area, and bright lights to make welding easier.

5x PJ Scope:

The PJ Scope is the same machine as the arm microscope, but without the arm. It was designed to be smaller, and therefore more portable. You get the same benefits as the arm microscope, but less working area. The magnifying lens makes it much easier to see your welds and ensure a job well done.

Upgraded ADL with Clear Screen:

Our state-of-the-art Upgraded ADL has the only clear lens in the world. The magnification, bright LED lights, and large working area make permanent jewelry a breeze. The lens can be tilted and the height is adjustable. You can also set the stylus to different heights, making it very personalizable.

Basic ADL: 

The Basic ADL is our smallest lens and smallest working area. The lens is not clear, but instead has a dark green tint. This is a simple, one-piece structure that comes pre-wired and with a set angle and stylus location. The lens does magnify the electrode area so you can better see your weld.

  • Energy Range. The Zapp Plus has an energy range of 1-30 Joules. The Zapp has an energy range of 3-10 Joules. Both models are suitable for permanent jewelry.
  • Stylus. The Zapp Plus uses an advanced stylus that provides a better welding experience. The Zapp uses a budget stylus that provides satisfactory welding results.
  • Stylus Extension. The Zapp Plus will accept a stylus extension cord that provides up to nine feet in cord length, which is great for anklets. The Zapp does not have this option.
